Wavy Hair: No Heat

Heat is damaging to our hair and we all know that. Lets face it most of us use heat on our hair every single day. Lets give our hair a break!!

You want to take a shower before doing this. It best to do this before bed and wake up to your perfect waves =) Leave your hair wet. PICS SOON!!

Step One: split hair in to two sections. Tie one side up.

Step Two: Begin a French Braid on the side of your head. From Your natural part down to by your ear.

Step Three: Once all hair is in the braid continue all the way down and secure.

Step Four: Allow hair to dry completely.

Step Five: Gently take the braids out.

Step Six: Separate all hair.  Then Hair spray.

You can also use clay or moose.

Acrylic Nails

Ok I admit im noooo good at nails. My nail polish chips off and doesn’t last loner then a day and I have no idea what to do about it. Recently I find my nails are getting stronger by not even using nail polish or acrylics. But I know some people can not live with out them.

I found a girl on youtube who is just amazing at this. She posts new videos all of the time and every single one of them I wish I could have lol. So I will give you a link to her youtube page and some of my favorite videos of hers.

Ok so before you pick a fabulous nail polish keep in mind what season it is. You shouldnt wear black in the spring time just like you shouldnt wear lime green in the winter. Obviously no one is stopping you, its just not in style and being in style is what glitz and glamor is all about right? =) Let me know your favorite nail polishes at @B_Alanna on twitter. How To: Smokey Eye

Ok so I'm going to attempt a step by step tutorial for smoke eyes. Keep in mind even though I will be using blacks and other dark colors you don’t have to. For example if you want to do say a Brown smokey eye all you would do is pick colors that are of the same intensity. Just for better detail: when I'm using black, this is when you go for the darkest brown. You usually always want to use white though because it widens and brightens the eye. If you don’t want to do white try a skin toned color.

Lets get started! =)

This is the look we are going for:

Step 1: Always prime your eye before applying eye shadow.

Step 2: Use a black eye liner and line your top lid. This can be messy because we are going to smudge it out.

Step 3: Grab your black eye shadow and apply all over the lid. Do this From the lash line to the crease of your eye.

 

I tried to find pictures matching where you should be putting the make up. F or step three make sure your darkest color is applied like her black is.

Step 4:Using the same black color you want to apply to the lower lash line so you don’t have the appearance of harsh eye liner. This will really soften the look.

Step 5: Now we are going to do the crease color. You want to go with a lighter color such as grey.  Apply this to the crease and just a tad above the crease.

Step 6: Highlight! This is the most important part in my opinion. Not only does it tie everything together but it brightens and reflects light. So this will bring a lot of attentions to your eye. For this you can use a shimmery white or pearly color. You want to apply this to the underbrow and the inside corner of the eye.

Ok I forgot to mention you definitely need to blend blend blend. We don’t want any harsh lines in this look or it wouldn’t be a smokey eye. To blend just move your brush in circular motions from the black to the grey. Clean your brush and do the same but this time from the grey to the white color. Then you want to Blend the white in the inside corner in to the black. You don’t want to blend the black into the white because it would take over the white.

Step 7: Curl your lashes!

Step 8:Apply Mascara

And your done! =) you should have something along the lines of this

Last thing I would like to mentions ladies, don’t for get to groom your eye brows. This is really important to achieving beautiful eye make up. You always want to fill in the brows and make sure the are always nicely groomed.  I will be working on providing my own pictures for this blog but it will take me a while since im a full time college student and barley have time to write these. In the mean time I did steal these pictures from Google images.

Halloween Costume Ideas: Women

As requested I have a couple of Halloween costume ideas for you guys. Girls usually want to look sexy on Halloween, so these are the costumes I went for. I know some don’t like the sexy look to much so I will try to provide a couple options for you as well. So lets get started.

Im in to learning about kings and queens so I thought it was interesting they have a sexy Marie Antoinette costume.

As you can see this is a purple and gold outfit. Back in the day there was not make-up, obviously. So you want to keep it simple but to dramatize the simple look you can go for a natural eye with some amazing false lashes. You can also play off those lovely cheek bones and load on the blush but try to stick with in nude to berry colored  lips for this look.

So next we got Alice and Wonderland of course. This was a semi popular movie this year and many people will probably be doing this outfit.

Well I think we can all find some sexy heels. Im not a big fan of those lol. But anyways this look you would also want to keep the make up simple. Keep in mind she is just a child. You could get away with false eye lashes and a berry colored lipstick. Maybe even some soft glitter on the eye lid but not to much. Alice has a natural look to her. If you are just wanting sexy make-up and don't care about your face looking like Alice you could go for a black smokey eye as another option.

Next on the list is bat girl. Or really any super women for example Cat women any of these would be great and could use the same make up.

So for the super women look we can do a sext dark smokey eye.  Use some false lashes. But play down the rest of the face. Try some nude lip sticks and a tannish blush. Remember we are portraying super women not super clown.

Last but not least we have a pirate chick. Not to sexy but with a little make up you will be the hottest girl at the party.

For this you should definitely be brave and do the red lipstick. Play down the blush and do a little bit of a smokey eye but don’t go over board.

Ladies it Halloween so don’t be afraid to break out those crazy false lashes with any outfit. If you over do it on the make up its perfectly fine. Halloween Make-Up Ideas

Hey Everyone!

As we all know Halloween is coming up, which means some of us need some make up and hair ideas. Us girls usually like to look sexy on Halloween and all over twitter I am seeing" I need some sexy make up ideas, help!"

So lets get started. The first look I found was very sexy and you can use it for pretty much any costume. And as she will tell you, there is always the option of changing the colors to match your costume and look even better.

Another look I got for you guys is a masquerade look I find just amazing! She uses a couple of blue colors but I am positive that this look will look just as amazing in any other color. I am personally thinking about doing this for Halloween myself. =)

Snake Skin Lips

Hi Everyone!

Ok so today I found a really cool make up video that described how to give you the look of a snake print on your lip stick. I know that this sounds weird to some people, and some of you maybe thinking who in the world would want to kiss someone with snake skin lips but it actually looks really cool.
